State Employee Standardized Practices and Procedures

State Employee Standardized Procedures

All department SOPs should serve as a baseline for how you roleplay as a state employee. Whilst they are here to guide you, roleplay should always be the priority and SOPs shouldn't be a limiting factor for your roleplay opportunities. So long as server rules are always abided by, we're happy to see what stories & creativity can come from players creating various scenarios and storylines in New Dakota.

Professional Conduct

All state employees are expected and required to maintain a professional working relationship with their inner department peers, as well as other departments.

Cooperation, respect, honesty, communication and accountability are all requirements of maintaining a professional working relationship.

Leave of Absence

All state employees are to follow the LOA standard outlined here.

- All state employees are entitled to a leave of absence (LOA) from their job for up to 2 weeks.

- All leave of absence notifications should be submitted under the #create-a-ticket Discord channel.

- During a leave of absence, the affected character is not permitted to use any job related credentials, equipment,  documentation, or perform any job related tasks. Equipment may be stored anywhere off person, and the respective library shelf will become unavailable until the LOA has concluded.

- Personnel responsible for termination are required to 'terminate' employees for the duration of their LOA. Reinstatement of the job is permitted after the LOA window has concluded.

- Any employees with an excessive number of LOA notifications may be subject for termination. Termination will be at the discretion of the department lead and/or the operations team.

- Should an employee have a dispute regarding a dismissal, please create a ticket for moderation discussion/review.

All state employees are required to be regularly active to retain their role.
